The Bold Italic
The Bold Italic was a San Francisco publication dedicated to the people, culture and wonderfully unexpected stories that gave the city its character. As a main visual contributor, Juan translated many of those stories into original illustrations, giving a visual voice to the experiences, observations and personalities shared by locals. His work helped turn everyday San Francisco stories into something memorable, playful and distinctly of the city.
